The ORIGINAL Oregon Trail! - http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html - This uses an "Apple II Simulator" to play the orignal game. If it asks you to switch disks, press F3 and then the space bar.
For Teachers:
What is a Wiki? - http://teachercommunal.wikispaces.com/Wikis - This section of the Teacher Communcal Space wiki has a lot of great information for how to set up your own Educational WikiSpace.
Google Calendar - https://calendar.google.com - This free Google web site allows you to make communal calendars, and you can even put them into your wikis (example) to show important school dates and even homework assignments if you want.
Jing - http://www.jingproject.com/ - This is a great FREE program that allows you to make your own screen captures, either an image or a mini-movie, to demonstrate how something looks on the computer. I used it to make a tutorial for my Great Book's Discussion , and my kids were easily able to do the task without me having to be helping them one-on-one. The built-in microphone on our iMacs makes this sort of thing possible and easy!
Wufoo - http://wufoo.com/- This is a great free web site for making online forms/questionnaires. You can use it for quizzes, gathering information, surveys, etc. - I use it for my classroom Job Application.
